Job Summary :
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable General Helper to support various tasks on construction sites. The General Helper assists skilled workers such as masons, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and site supervisors in performing manual labor, moving materials, cleaning work areas, and helping with basic construction duties.

This position is essential to the smooth functioning of the construction site. The ideal candidate should be physically fit, willing to learn, and able to follow instructions carefully.

Key Responsibilities :
Material Handling :
Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment around the job site.
Deliver materials to designated areas or workers as needed.

Site Preparation and Cleaning :
Clean work areas, remove debris, dispose of waste, and keep the construction site tidy and organized.
Prepare surfaces for work by digging, leveling, or clearing spaces.

Assisting Skilled Workers :
Assist masons, carpenters, painters, plumbers, and electricians by holding tools, mixing materials, or setting up scaffolding.
Follow instructions to support construction tasks such as lifting heavy items, pouring concrete, or placing bricks.

Tool Management :
Maintain and organize tools and equipment used on site.
Return tools to storage after use and report any damaged or missing items.

Safety and Compliance :
Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, gloves, and boots.
Report any unsafe conditions, accidents, or hazards to the supervisor immediately.

Skills and Qualifications :
Education:
No formal education required; basic literacy is an advantage.

Experience :
Previous experience on a construction site is preferred but not mandatory.
On-the-job training will be provided.

Skills:

Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments.

Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from supervisors.

Physical Requirements:

Fit to lift, carry, bend, kneel, and work long hours under the sun or in dusty conditions.

No physical limitations that would prevent working on a construction site.

Work Conditions:
Work is performed outdoors or in partially built structures.

Exposure to dust, noise, heat, or heavy machinery is common.

May require overtime, early mornings, or weekend shifts depending on project schedules.

Use of PPE is mandatory at all times.

Eligible for training in specific trades (carpentry, plumbing, painting, etc.).
